Jets Insider.com 2008 Tailgate Contest

Does your Jets tailgate kick ass? If so, Jets Insider.com wants to know about it.

We are on a quest to find the best tailgate parties on Jets gamedays. If you feel your weekly gathering is of elite status then shoot us an e-mail and tell us about it. If we are impressed, we will visit your shindig and feature it on the website via a feature article and also via video on JetsInsidervision. We will pick one tailgate to visit during each home game and at the end of the season the fans will vote who has the best tailgate on Jets gameday. Winners will receive a variety of prizes including the following:

1. A custom made Freedom Grill FG-50

The is custom Jets Painted grill features a 16,000 BTU 352 square inch cooking area easily handles up to 20 burgers, four chickens or 40 large sausages. The FG-50 runs on small propane canisters or you can add an adapter to handle larger propane tanks. Includes 180 degree swing away arm mountable in any class A trailer hitch receiver.

2. The TailGator Blender

If you want the perfect Margarita or Pina Colada for your tailgating group there’s only one product that will handle the task. The TailGator gas powered blender. Instead of electricity, the TailGator is powered by a 25cc Poulan 2 stroke 2 ½ horsepower engine. It’s probably the same engine that’s on your weed whacker or chain saw. With stainless steel blades, the TailGator whips up frozen drinks in a flash and has more power than you will ever need. It starts easily after a few pumps of the primer and a pull of the cord. The plastic blender container is 48 oz and is good for around 5-6 drinks per batch. It runs on a gas-oil mixture and is rated at 6500 MPG (margaritas-per-gallon).

If you are interested in being considered, send us an e-mail with the following information (Accompanying digital photos are strongly suggested):

1. The Players. How many people comprise your tailgate (please include names).
2. The History of your gathering: How long has the tailgate been in existence?
3. Your Location. What section of the parking lot do you occupy?
4. What is on the weekly menu – food and beverage?
5. What makes your tailgate unique or special? Why should it be considered as one of the absolute best?

Good luck and bon appetit! More prizes will likely be added. Check back for updates on this contest!

To tell us about your tailgate, please e-mail us at mail@jetsinsider.com.
