Sloppy Practice for Jets on Day 5

Tuesday, July 29th, 2014

CORTLAND, N.Y.- After an off day on Sunday, the Jets hit the practice field at Cortland on Monday well rested. However, it seems the off day may have done more harm then good because today’s practice was a rough one filled with penalties, turnovers and the level of play was not up to par with the first four days of practices.

“Sometimes you give guys you know an off day and things… It’s like I don’t get it you know you’re not as sharp, the focus doesn’t seem to be there. We came out of practice, we started pretty good and then at the end of it kind of waned a little” said head coach Rex Ryan.

Jets To Introduce New Season-Ticket Rewards Program

Monday, July 28th, 2014

On August 1st, the Jets will launch a new rewards program, know as “Jets Rewards” for season-ticket holders. Part of the program will allow fans to accumulate points throughout the season and redeem those points for  prizes.

Instead of the traditional paper ticket Jets’ season-ticket holders will receive a small wallet sized card with their tickets already preloaded on to their card.

“Where in the past, season ticket holders would get a packet of 10 tickets for every seat now they will get one card.” According to Senior Vice President of Marketing and Fan Engagement Seth Rabinowitz, “That card is a smart card has a little microchip in it and it comes preloaded with all of your games.” (more…)

Training Camp Day 2014 Day Two Recap

Friday, July 25th, 2014

CORTLAND, N.Y.- The Jets finished up day two of the 2014 training camp on a warm and breezy Friday afternoon. The team had a lot to be excited about including the debut of Jason Babin the former 2011 All-Pro defensive end after signing him to a two-year contract on July 23rd.  Furthermore the always optimistic head coach Rex Ryan was happy with the effort and play his team showed today saying, “Practice went pretty well” during his post practice press conference. Specifically Ryan singled out the play of rookie wide receiver Shaq Evans and rookie linebacker Trevor Riley.

“I think sometimes when you’re seeing young players, I like seeing a guy rebound and see what they’re made of, if a guy has a poor practice or maybe didn’t go great to see how they respond (and) we had a couple guys I think that had a much better practice today with the young guys and I think Shaq did (rebound) and Trevor Riley did (rebound.)” (more…)
