Jets stopping the run

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants came into this game with two power backs in Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs. Bradshaw gives them that ‘razzle dazzle’ but hard running style you look for in your every down back while Jacobs stays on ‘beast mode status’ at all times crashing his way through defensive lineman, but so far today it’s a different story.

The Jets defensive line is clogging up every possible hole so far and really seem to be on the balls of their feet. Eli Manning and the Giants offense are trying to establish the run in order to open up the pass down the field, but to no avail.

First half rushing numbers.

A. Bradshaw — (ATT) 4 (YDS) 3 (AVG) 0.8

B. Jacobs — (ATT) 3 (YDS) 3 (AVG) 1.0

I would say that is dominating on run defense. Can the Jets keep it up and stay strong on the defensive side of the ball? I think it is a crucial part of their success today in order to get a victory here on Christmas Eve for the Battle of New York.
