Thanks for the input Rossie! I hear what you're saying and I will definitely agree that his relationship with Sanchez is his best asset right now. But there are so many better offensive minds out there. The connection that can be made with a bright offensive gameplan and a young quarterback could help ease the path toward developing trust. Regardless that is all just blowing off steam, because Schottenheimer, of course, is still with the Jets. Not my favorite option, but definitely not the worst one either.

Good column. Not sure about getting rid of Schotty, however. Don't you think that the relationship that he has with our young QB is an important factor in the decision? I seem to think that Schotty's ability to connect with Sanchez is why he's still there.

[...] Tannenbaum had hinted at this move when he last spoke to the media, however some (myself included) have speculated that the tag would have been placed on receiver Santonio Holmes. While we may have been in disagreement over who should receive the franchise tag, we were in complete agreement on Harris being their top priority. [...]

Baddniss--Appreciate the kind words. Hopefully Tannenbaum sees this before making any other moves.

uhh--Thanks for the correction, always appreciate another editor's eyes. But as far as Folk being afraid of the harsh elements, perhaps that was poorly worded. What I meant was that, after his time in a domed Cowboy Stadium moving to the Meadowlands is a bit drastic (although Dallas doesn't look too different from Jersey, right now). Prater has a big leg that, yes was aided by the thin Mile High air, but also knows how to bare the elements of a Denver winter.

Great article...while we may differ in opinions on Cromartie, this article is RIGHT ON!
Its good to see someone who truly understands Jets Football write a clear formula for our future success.
If Tanny follows this simple guide, we will be back in the AFC Championship game again next year for sure...

Nick Folk didn't lose faith in his Coach....it was his COACH who lost faith in Nick Folk.

But I don't think Nick is "afraid of harsh elements". I don't know where you got THAT from. He can miss kicks in Ideal conditions, too.

Matt Prater, huh? Why not?
