But Brad Smith, whether the Jets wanted him back or not, commanded too much on the market -- deeming him undesirable to the Jets. Plus, you had to figure he was out of the picture after they drafted TCU WR Jeremey Kerley. Westoff has a masterful special teams schemes and believes he can plug anyone back there, and given his advanced blocking schemes, be successful. Weatherford, on the other hand, I just don't understand. He was HUGE for the Jets defense and, at times, was the Jets best weapon. Believe it or not. And with Wilson having a second year under his belt and signing Donald Strickland, and Lowery, Drew Coleman probably wouldn't have seen as much playing time. I'd rather have Lowery and Wilson over Coleman. It's impossible for teams to re-sign EVERYONE. But for the most part, the Jets have done a pretty darn good job at keeping the players THEY wanted to keep. Yeah, you’re right.
