Former Jet WR

We dont get much Jets news in Australia, so all I get is from the internet & as such this is going to sound a bit stupid, but there was a former Jets player I liked & I am interested in what happened to him.

A WR taken in the same year as Coles, I think he was Hayes or Haynes.

Was he drafted higher than Coles & what happened to him? Obviuosly got cut 1 or 2 seasons ago, but can anyone tell me why & did he move to another club?

Windrell Hayes was drafted in the fifth that year I think. I'm not sure where he is now though....

The WR, You are thinking about is Windrell Hayes.
Windrell Hayes is a forgotten man. Such is the life on an NFL player. The NFL is a here today....gone today league.

Yes Hayes was drafted along with Coles in 2000. Windrell was from USC and his specialty was running precise routes and for making great cuts. His nickname was Scissors. Unfortunately, In The NFL, He couldn't CUT the mustard.

I may be wrong about this but The Jets let him go early in camp a few years ago. Hayes spent time in camp with either The Jaguars or Raiders, maybe both. He's dissapeared. He isn't in The arena league either and never ended up in NFL Europe at any point.

he signed with the Packers last year but I am not sure he ever played

Remember when Wayne was a rookie and the starting WR opposite him was Charles Wilson late in the year. UGGHHHHH

Didnt Stevie Anderson get shot last month, hanging out with his brother who is an NFL player, or something??
