ESPN lead story:"You cannot ignore this, you can't pretend this isn't going on."
Lead story on ESPN radio and ESPN2 tv this am on Mike and Mike. The entire first hour of their national broadcast.
Not the Hall of Fame vote.
Not the Super Bowl game itself.
Cheating. By the Pats.
This isn't some whiny Jet fans on the internet, this is the broadcast going out across the entire nation.
I mean, if people didn't think it wasn't relevant, if it were a minor thing, then no one would be talking about it.
Mike Martz, coach of those Rams doesn't think this is a minor thing, he didn't say "Hey, it's no big deal". He said, "I have the utmost respect for Bill Bellichick, but I hope it didn't happen."
Golic, while not particularly eloquent, did say this about whether a "competitive advantage" matters when someone is caught cheating red-handed? He said "You break into a bank and you don't get any money, but you still broke into the bank."
NO one is talking about the game. What should be the Pats crowning achievment is now a side-show to the indelible stain Bellichik has placed on his team, his legacy, and the NFL.
And in their interview with Goodell, you KNOW he want's to talk about ANYTHING but this, he want's it swept it under rug, but this is all they asked about, all ANYONE wants to talk about.
