If you:
1. Take responsibility for your own actions 2. Work hard for what you have, like to keep the money you earn and not have it redistributed to the needy (lazy) 3. Believe in social morality 4. Believe that everyone should STFU and live their own lives and stop trying to "change" everything You probably are conservative If you: 1. Have a bleeding heart and feel sorry for the needy (lazy) 2. Believe in Big Government (Socialism) and high taxes 3. Support PETA and Greenpeace 4. Look to sue because you tripped on a crack in the sidewalk and want to blame the City instead of your clumsy ass 5. Wear tie-dye shirt, cargo shorts and Birkenstocks, and protest a lot 6. Think that anyone who thinks conservatively is a caveman, homophobe, fascist, war monger, etc. 7. Believe in the freedom of speech unless that speech differs in opinion from yours 8. Feel like ripping me a new a$$hole for this post You are probably a liberal |
there's this political compass thing that's pretty popular but it's old as **** and even i think a few of the questions are biased to the left.
i'm a (-5.75, -4.5), chillin' in the bottom left with the dalai lama, mandela, kucinich, the canadian ndp and ralph nader. ralph forgot the party favors and we are really upset with him but at the same time too liberal to take any action past the "complaining" stage :( |

They're organized groups. You aren't a Democrat or a Republican unless you choose to be. If you're registered to vote, then you should know if you're a democrat, republican, green, independent, etc. If you didn't specify a party when you registered then you're an independent like I am.
Regarding the labels, generally you're talking about social and fiscal policy. If you're more for pure freedom, then you're on the socially liberal side, if you're more for "responsible" freedom then you're on the socially conservative side. If you're more for the government helping people then you're on the fiscally liberal side, if you're more for the government staying out of people's business then you're on the fiscally conservative side. Most people aren't all of any one thing, their opinions can be found in all four categories depending on the situation. Which is why, imo, labeling them "conservative" or "liberal" is ridiculous. |

My opinion would be to stay as you are, don't get caught up in the stupid labels. Otherwise you become like that ^. |

Ask yourself this question;
"Do guns kill people? or do people kill people?" just a simple question to get an idea of your political philosophy |

a conservative will say that it is the man who kills people and the gun is only the median in which to do it. this is not the be all end all just a philosophical question. |
