I guess its a day late since the tournament started already but it doesn't really matter.

The United States has their first game tomorrow at 2:30 against Italy (**** you Paulie). I'm not really expecting too much from this tournament though. I think if we beat Egypt and don't embarrass ourselves in the other two games it can be considered a success. Spains gonna take it, they're really just on a whole different level than the rest of the world.

Watched Spain vs New Zealand today...for 20 minutes which was all that was needed. NZ is probably not a good metric to see where Spain is at right now, but they still looked impressive. Torres with a hat trick, and they looked in sync.

Big match up today. I always feel torn when USA plays Italy. I hope the US gives a strong performance but at the same time I don't want to see Italy get embarrassed, especially with Marcello Lippi back at the helm. Here's to a competitive game.

Chellini should have got a red for his challenge on Altidore based on that.

Are you kidding? The kick across the leg, and the slowing of Altidore with his arm. Unquestionable penalty there. Eve with Altidore overselling it.

Pissed at Clark for the bad challenge....dunno if it deserved a red card or not, but bad challenge anyway. Either way, US players think they got jobbed on the call, and look like they grew a sack because of it-enjoyable to watch them play this way. :yes:

Like to see them capitalize on their chances more...Altidore/Bradley missed two not easy but nice chances.
