Prospect Battle: Greg Hardy vs. George Selvie?

Which of these two fallen beasts will end up the better pro?

I think at the very least, Selvie will be a good situational passrusher for a number of years, he definitely has a future in this league IMO. Hardy on the other hand, I could see being out of the game in 2-3 years.

He kinda looks like a lazy turd based off of his weight and poor workouts. Where we would be taking Hardy/Selvie (4th and later) I would personally take Hardy because his upside is much bigger over the long run.

Agreed. I don't know if Selvie will be a good situational passrusher, but at the very least he'll probably stick around the league as a 3rd stringer. Hardy seems to have no heart or motivation...

Hardy's body is spent. It's unfortunate, but its reality.

It's not out of this world for him to slowly develop into an effective player, but odds are stacked against him making it "why bother" scenario.

Hardy by a long shot.

1. He played extremely well in the 280's during Shrine Week.

2. Poor workouts? Disappointing 40 time? Sure. The rest of his workouts went just fine.

Worilds > Hardy > Selvie

jetsfan1983 03-30-2010 10:57 PM

Just wanted to point out that I was right throughout the year when I constantly said that Hardy was not that good... Sure enough, I was right and the rest of the league has noticed.

Worilds is probably the best of those three and will go the highest among the 3, but he's flawed too. Has supreme athleticism but lacks strength. Playing strength is extremely importnat in terms of being a great player and he just doesn't have it. Could still be a good player but that is as far as it goes for him.

Hardy has a higher ceiling but he lacks the next level edge burst and he just doesn't get dirty enough on any other players, especially runs. May hang around for a few years, but that's it.

end the thread right here....and I was huge on Hardy in 2007....its' been a downward spiral and he doesn't seem interested in stopping the southern movement...
