Jets take out trash talk...anyone think...
...that Rex planted these stories of the Bills talking trash? would be great if he did.
ORCHARD PARK -- Mark Sanchez had heads scratching just about everywhere yesterday with his postgame accusations of rampant Bills trash talk.
While the Jets' quarterback went to great lengths to credit the smack for motivating him and his teammates to a 38-14 rout, Sanchez refused to specify which Bills had said exactly what was supposedly so offensive.
"There were plenty of them," Sanchez said, referring to the supposedly mouthy Bills. "It was one of those things where we were like, 'What? All right, whatever. We'll see what happens.' "
Sanchez also claimed that the Bills had been quoted saying that they expected him to play the way he did in the first meeting last year, when Sanchez threw five interceptions in a Buffalo win.
But the alleged trash talk -- more than likely stoked by the Jets' coaching staff worried about a letdown against a winless team -- was a surprise to the Bills and to the media corps for both teams.
The only thing remotely close to bulletin-board material came from Bills safety Donte Whitner, who told the Buffalo News that Sanchez wasn't yet at the level of Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.
Hardly an insult, but Sanchez took it differently.
"I don't have much to say about it," he said.
Idk, I think he takes care of this in house.
