Just read that The Bangles released a new album, Sweetheart of the Sun. Not sure why. It's not terrible, but nothing has changed from their heyday, which might appeal to some, I guess.

Produced by Matthew Sweet, the record features original members Susanna Hoffs,as well as sisters Debbi and Vicki Peterson. This first cut, "Anna Lee", has their trademark vocal layering and jangly guitar sound. They should also send a royalty to Pete Townshend for using his riff from Tommy's "Go to the Mirror".

Far as I know, she's still married to Jay Roach, a film director. I did not know about the covers album, but will check it out. They covered one of my favorite Beatles tunes, "Rain".
