Thomas Jones did not want to leave the Jets

This guy is a class act and without a doubt would have given us more production than LT has. |

TJ would have been better for THIS offense than L.T.? TJ's hands are just slightly better than Shonn Greene's. LT won games for us last year (and Dallas this year) solely on his ability to keep drives alive by making plays in the passing game. But I guess in your world we wouldn't need to use the RB as a safety valve when we're constantly chucking up bombs to T.O. and Randy Moss. |
LT has been great but I liked Jones a great deal as well.

without a doubt he would have given us more production than LT? LT has 8 TDs since he's been with the Jets and T. Jones has 6 since he's been with the chiefs. None this year. LT waaay more receptions though TJ has a few more rushing yards. Jones was great, but I'd take LT

Jones was a great player for us when he was here, I was sorry to see him go. Always was a classy player and a guy who fought back after being labeled a bust early in his career.
That being said, LT also is nothing but classy. He would have had 1000 yds last year had he not died toward end of year. LT brought more to the table in terms of a receiver. Jones and Greene's running styles were very similar. LT brought that change of pace. So the real question is, what is your problem with LT? More importantly, what is your problem overall? You seem to hate every player on this team, or at least have nothing but complaints about them. I mean I know we're only 7-5 and we aren't winning games by 40 points but c'mon man. |
LT would have had 1000 yards last year if he didnt sit out the final game against buffalo to rest for the playoffs
|
Is the guy a class act? He's been in 2 fist fights with teammates in his career, one with the guy trying to take his position in Chicago, and this year with a Rookie WR.
Maybe those guys had it coming, but show a little self control. I'm not saying he's a problem teammate, I don't think he was considered a model citizen in most of his NFL stops either. |

+1. TJ got paid a tremendous amount of $$ and his contract was frontloaded. So what did this "class act" do when it came time for him to play out the last year of his contract for the minimal $$ he had negotiated for--that he had agreed to in order to get his big $$ up front? He b*tched and moaned at how "underpaid" he was at $900K in his last year. Hey dickhead--you GOT all your money up front. Yeah, what a class act. Two yards and a cloud of dust. _ |

...and a hi-ho Silver! Awayyyy! |

Not a one. TJ has nothing left in his tank, and was 9/10ths empty when we let him go. _ |

Thomas Jones has a 3.0 ypc behind the same O-line that Jamaal Charles put up superstar numbers behind. He's finished.
Dump. |
Chad Pennington, Tony Richardson, Waybe Crebet, Shaun Ellis, Freeman McNeil,...these guys were all class acts too. But there comes a time....
