Spain Recommendations?
Heading to Madrid (with the GF) in April to visit my older Sopne studying abroad for the Spring Semester and we'd be staying in Madrid for part/most of the trip whilst taking day trips to Toledo and/or Salamanca or Segovia.
Madrid is kind of a big city so we were looking to do a 2-3 day trip outside central Spain and were trying to decide on Seville, Barcelona, the Basque Country or any other one "must see". Looking for old, ancient medieval quintessential Spanish town. Aleady asked Raoul, he was checking with some friends but I'm fearful of being sent to the Mikonos of Spain--and considering what's happened to the Hampur lately, my puckered starfish has been clamped shut tighter than usual. Anyone been recently? Any "must see" places? Well I've never been to Spain, but I kinda like the music. _ |

The town or Toledo and El Escorial (Philip II's Versaille) are both near Madrid and must-sees when in Central Spain.
