Shonn Greene is better than Spiller and Bush.

In terms of potential...results on the field last year...and moving forward, Greene is definitely #4. If the Pats sign Ryan Grant, Greene moves to #5.

Agreed and I think the articles "skinny" is pretty much spot on. Last year Greene proved to be Lamont Jordon 2.0...

Sorry but CJ Spiller hasnt rushed for 1000 yards in 2 years combined. Prior to last year (his sixth year)Reggie Bush never ran for 1000 yards. Spiller and Bush are nice change of pace backs but neither is a feature back.

Greene is a better RB than both (and i dont even like the guy)

chiefst2000 05-09-2012 04:45 PM

Green is not better then Spiller or Bush. He is a different type of back for sure. He is a bigger road grater type that can't catch out of the backfield and he is somewhat prone to injury. If we are going to be a run focused team the only way to succeed is with a great all purpose RB or a two headed attack. The Jets lack that dimension.

Spiller and Bush would have gotten killed running behind our line last year. None of them would have put up the numbers greene did behind our pathetic oline and our coordinator tipping off every running play.

Joe McKnight said he put on more than 15 pounds this offseason, didn't think he lost any speed. Could help him sustain more hits.

The Jets have signed sixth-round pick Terrance Ganaway to a four-year deal, a person with knowledge of the deal confirmed. That person requested anonymity because the team has not yet announced it.

Ganaway, a running back from Baylor, was selected No. 202 overall in this year's NFL Draft. He set new single-season school records with 1,547 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns as a senior. He overcame obstacles to reach the NFL, including the death of his mother to kidney cancer and a year away from football at Tekarkana Community College.

Ganaway is the third Jets draft pick to sign, following second-round pick Stephen Hill and sixth-round pick Josh Bush. The New York Daily News first reported Ganaway had agreed to terms. The Jets have five more draft picks to sign, including first-round pick Quinton Coples.
