We keep arguing about stuff 12 year old girls talk about. It's like a Friday night sleepover for adolescent teens sometimes.

At least we can start talking about football.

Right, guys? Just try, a little bit.

I am far away on your optimism on Matt Schaub. He will not be the same quarterback when he comes back. Not saying he will be ineffective but he'll take a step back from recent years.

I think it more a question with his oline than M Schaub . I think thats why the offense takes a step back, as that was one of the better olines last year.

Yep, plus they gutted the right side of his line. Briesel and Winston are both gone.

I think the Texans have gotten a little too much hype this year, but considering they play in one of the two worst divisions in football, I still think they win the division. They just don't strike me as a first round bye type of team, however.

I agree with that as well.

I see the Texans winning the division with 10-11 wins but not challenging for one of the two AFC 1st round byes.

Cincy, Denver, New England will vie for those bye spots.

Cincy over both Baltimore and Pittsbugh?

Newton throwing top 3 most yards in the NFL? That's a stretch.

NY2FLDWC85 07-02-2012 12:43 PM

I'll take it one step further, and predict the numbers for Mark Sanchez this up coming season.

Keep in mind, that he's improved upon total yardage, completion percentage, TD's and QB Rating each of his first 3 years since being drafted. I expect that trend to continue, but with Sparano as offensive coordinator? I expect for his INT's to decline due to much better/more productive play calling.

Mark Sanchez: 518 attempts/319 completions, 3,699 passing yards, a completion percentage of 61.6%, 29 TD's/13 INT's to go along with a QB rating of 90.2.

The only major improvement when compared to last year was Mark's TD to INT ratio. Last years TD/INT ratio was 1.44. This year I have Sanchez at 2.23. Everything else in regards to yardage, completion percentage and TD's thrown are right on par with his first 3 seasons ala continuing to improve each and every year. In regards to completion percentage it's a differential of +4.9%. In regards to yards thrown? It's a differential of 225 yards (only 14 extra throwing yards per game). Also have Sanchez throwing 3+ TD's when compared to last year. The QB rating will define his overall improvements, just as it's done each of his first 3 years in the league.

He threw for over 4,000 yards as a rookie.

I'll predict that your prediction isn't even close to reality ala is full of wishful ala homer thinking. I'll also predict ala make a wild-ass guess, that Tebow will be your starting QB no later than week 10. What do you think of my prediction ala guess ala throwing crap against the ala wall?

Exactly. Was gonna put 10-11 wins down for them in my last post but was too lazy.

I think the favorites for the byes are (in order): NE, Pittsburgh, Denver, then Baltimore/Houston.

Will you please stay on friggn' topic.

This thread is about the top QB's in the NFL in different categories.

Bottom 3rd ranked QB's do not even deserve a mention in this thread.

If you want to continue your homeristic, pom-pom waving, kool aid drinking posts, keep them in your delusional "Let's Talk Football" thread.

Don't ruin good football threads.
