Anything we need to see/do/eat?

Second time out there. First time we got a decent feel for it, trying to be a bit more strategic this time with where we go/what we eat.

Any suggestions LI folks?

Thanks

Go visit Jetswin, he's the dude taking iphone pictures of a drink and a cigar on a table against the bay sunset, laughing and muttering *b***hes!"

Check out Cliff's Elbow Room. The place looks like (and is) an absolute dive, but they have great seafood and the best marinated steaks you'll ever try. You'll get one and think it looks like a burnt mess, but trust me they are phenomenal. Any time I go out there we make sure we get a steak at Cliff's.

There's some great vineyards out there too. Macari is my favorite.

If you get the chance, definitely try this.

There's a link for Long Island Wine Country on that website. Download the app. It's a good resource for all the vineyards out there (and should tell you which vineyards have live music this weekend). Practice Check out O'Malley's in Southold. Great burgers. Daytime waterfront drinking at Claudio's in Greenport is always fun. There is a pretty awesome cheese shop on Love Lane in Mattituck (if you like cheese, which I suspect comprises 70% of my blood) and there is now a passenger ferry that goes from Greenport directly to Sag Harbor if you want to walk around town there.

Didn't you ask the same question about a year ago? I know there was this same exact thread and I'm pretty sure you started it.

If you're looking for a nice dinner, check out the North Fork Table and Inn.

Exactly - and if you look at that thread, there were tons of legit suggestions about where to go to eat, drink, fish, etc. (admittedly between the usual Hampur nonsense) and then SouthTownie comes back and asks for serious suggestions.

And now, he starts the exact same thread after he's already been.

If SouthParkCPA wasn't a good dude, I'd probably band everyone with a South in their handle. Just to be safe.

Take the ferry from Orient Point to Plum Island. There is a great steakhouse there--forget the name, something like CDC Roadhouse.

The steak tartare is fabulous.

I remember it b/c I tried to help the dude cause I was just there. Because us Hampurites are of the helping, friendly ilk, we provide some sound advice. And then he has the chutzpah to come back with this gem:

Anything.

Thanks.

Be serious, once, please.

Nuh - uh. You don't get to determine what kind of help you get here - serious or otherwise. If you ask for advice about a TV, you're gonna get asked "how close you're will you be sitting" type questions. If you want advice on seafood, you'll get recs of giant cock eating squid. If you want to know where to go to by your son's first suit, someone will tell you to ask Stocks' where he gets his.

All part of the program.
