Packers cut SS Charlie Peprah (Last season: 14 games, 5 INT, 94 Tackles)
|
Don't we have plenty of Strong safeties?
|
Last I heard he wasn't healthy going through OTAs. If healthy I'd take a shot, but it'd probably cost Tracy Wilson his spot.
|
He did play corner in college. Maybe worth a look. Found this info.
In the October 31 game against the New York Jets, Peprah made five tackles and a quarterback pressure, broke up consecutive Jets passes, and knock the ball out of Jerricho Cotchery's possession on a fourth down running attempt |
The New York Jets do not need another strong safety. The New York Jets have their starting strong safety. His name is Yeremiah Bell. LaRon Landry will be the starting FREE safety, a position he played in his first couple of seasons in Washington. The New York Jets have capable backups at strong safety if Bell goes down, including Eric Smith who was playing out of place at free safety last season.
Last but not least, Green Bay's secondary was absolutely garbage last season. Thank you. Have a good evening. |
I don't see the use in bringing in another safety.
Laron Landry, Yeremiah Bell, Eric Smith, Josh Bush, Antonio Allen...We're already pretty crowded at the position. Save the available cap space for another RB or a blocking TE. |
