WLF...PC Richards blows.

Watching the Yankee post-game show and lost the picture on my SOny Bravia...rebooted the cable box...now nothing... no picture or sound and the power light is on. The box is fine, I switched it out and it works on the other TV's.

This is the sixth thing I bought from PC Richards in the last 4 years that has crapped out....( washer, dryer, Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher).....and their customer service/repair companies blow...

I'm still waiting for a part on a friggin washer machine 5 weeks after the thing broke for the third time (Whirlpool Cabrio).

I highly recommend no one buy anything from them....and dont waste your time on their service contracts...mouthbreathing dolts.

ANyone know anything about TV's?

:D

How far away from the TV were you sitting when it blew out?

Jets Things 09-26-2012 06:27 PM

Never had a problem wigh PC Richards. Perhaps you should look into some of their Kenmore products.

Sounds very similar to my experience, but its not me.

Spent a ton of dough there, the repairmen have to come 2-3 times after a 3-4 week wait for parts...they are unfamiliar with the equipment...etc.

Already made them replace the washing machine once under threat that I would drop it off on the sidewalk in front...and now its broken...again.

Now the farging TV, which cost 4500 four years ago.:steamin:

he crossed the fruitcakery rubicon, didn't he?

seriously though: did you sit on the remote and accidentally change inputs?

TokyoJetsFan 09-26-2012 06:54 PM

seriously i had a similar problem recently. I unplugged the tv for a few minutes. when you plug it back in and turn the tv on with the remote control keep the power button pressed down...this reboots the tv somehow.

Nah...actually this was all proceeded by a TV and cable box in another room rebooting on its own while my daughter was watching...could a power surge or something have fried my board?

Thats implied in all my complaints.

This whole thing has now taken a sinister turn;

I just told my wife, away on business the bad news...she is now trying to parlay this into a project wherein I remove the TV and create a half wall between the den and the kitchen to "open it up".

Its coming fast a furious...wtf.

This is now an official, required Hampur response. Expect it every time.

Jetworks 09-26-2012 07:16 PM

I've always found PC Richards to have very good customer service and excellent prices. Never had a problem with a single thing I bought from them. The one complaint I might have is that they push a bit hard on the extended warranty pitch, but that's a fair trade-off for their willingness to price match anything you may find at Sears or Worst-Buy.

I dodged that with incessant complaining about the difficulty of obtaining a boat captains license.

Its not like she was going to clean and winterize the farging thing.
