The Jets organization is Mensa compared to their fanbase.

Tone being human pondscum has it's repurcussions.

Namely, Fans don;t trust him, at all, not to be the kind of guy who'd fake an injury to get paid and not have to play through a sure-to-be-fail-filled season.

I admit I was not inclined to believe the Holmes injury before the MRI and I am still not sure how any of that induced him to serve up the ball like that but still... if you are into conspiracy theories then a better one might be that the Front Office shut him down by agreement as a way to try and save their own jobs.

I always keep a few cadaver ligaments and a roll of duct tape in my glove compartment for a situation like this.
