Ray Lewis is out for the season

torn triceps

http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/pos...for-the-season

teams have been running directly at him
maybe a good thing?

I am sure his leadership/energy will be missed

SMC 10-15-2012 04:22 PM

Brutal loss for them.

sect313 10-15-2012 04:23 PM

also lost Webb for the year

Ruby2 10-15-2012 04:24 PM

You never want to wish injury on a player, yada yada yada, but I can't say that im too upset about this.

That Baltimore D is dogcrap this year.

Webb also done, and they were struggling to begin with. Guess Flacco has got to stop crying and put the team on his shoulders.

Jetfan16 10-15-2012 04:26 PM

One of my college roommates would always say that "Ray Lewis killed a man with his bare hands," So if that's true it's hard to feel bad for him that he got injured?

Vin 10-15-2012 04:31 PM

As long as Ed Reed is still out there in the Secondary, the Ravens are still formidable.

jetsfan1983 10-15-2012 04:32 PM

Dean Peas sucks... He sucked at New England and is one of the few guys that Belichick actually fired. Thus... He goes to Baltimore and sucks.

And since we are talking about run defense, it's also worth noting that Terrence Cody is a bust. It's beyond me why everyone couldn't see that coming out of Alabama. Made a couple of nice plays so people paid attention to a 2 min youtube video but the guy had zero playing strenth and even less balance.

It's a joke that so many people here wanted him.

TheMikeIsHot 10-15-2012 04:33 PM

Losing Webb and Lewis is terrible.

I don't think they can overcome those two losses.

This all but seals their fate IMO.

CBTNY was correct. Vincenzo Testaverde not so much.

I thought it was obvious. I also put my name on that in a bunch of different threads.

People just get so hopeful sometimes, especially when it comes to guys with size. A lot of people kept posting different. Cody has managed to suck even though he's in the perfect situation.

King P 10-15-2012 04:55 PM

Losing Webb is gonna really mess them up.

And Ngata was hurt too. They got Suggs coming back soon though.

Whoops. Forgot about him, though he IS hurt, too.

And as King P helpfully pointed out, Suggs will be back soon so that would help.

From ESPN....

Meanwhile, Haloti Ngata, the team's best player on the defensive line, suffered a torn MCL in the victory but is likely to play Sunday against the Texans, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Really? You can tear an MCL and play the next week?

Maybe he had a fake leg like Santonio Holmes did? ;)

SMC 10-15-2012 05:01 PM

Revis, Lewis, and Cushing all gone for the season.

Those are some serious names to lose on defense this year.

They have Chuck Norris on their team?

But seriously Ravens D looks done for. Flacco will probably implode.

Nike 10-15-2012 05:20 PM

good player wish him the best.

So because the D hasn't been as good as it has been in the past, it's OK to be happy about a player being lost for the year? I don't get it. The guy is one of the faces of the league. Huge loss for the Ravens, and a huge loss for the sport of football. If you live football, i dont know how you cant appreciate Ray Lewis and what he does on the field and in the locker room.

We might have seen one of the greatest Linebackers in NFL History play his last game. Tragic.
