Has The Mouth Ever Got in the Face of One of His Players?

Rex, these players are not your buddies. Have you ever considered expressing your disappointment in any of them by sticking your FOOT (oh sorry, forgot about Rex and feet) up one of their arses? Rex, just a reminder, you are not playing on the team, you are coaching it!

Rex keeps saying how his players have good practices but when this does not translate to the field it shows that they are willing to go to the matt for him. When you make the transition to a head coach you can't be a players best friend you need to kick some ass

He's always been a player's coach, but this year he has taken it up a notch, refusing to hold anyone accountable for poor play. If a guy plays poorly, Rex's response is "I believe in him, I think he's the best guy for the job." Nobody is ever thrown under the bus or blamed. Must be very re-assuring for players to not have to worry about mistakes. Perhaps that's why we still hear some of them making boasts and guarantees...

He's everybody's fat assed, loud mouthed buddy

How would you know if Rex got into the face of one of his players? You aren't in the locker room. What he says in press conferences is just his style. Coaches don't change their style at this level, they got to where they were because what they did worked. Belichick isn't ever going to lighten up with reporters, and Rex isn't going to ever get stern with a player publicly.

The ones who fly off the handle and go out of character in a press conference are the ones who are standing in quick sand mentally and professionally. We've seen it time and again. The most memorable press conferences from coaches who are all fired and long gone. Just be glad Rex hasn't resorted to dropping his pants a la Mike Singletary.

Rex has absolutely gotten in the face of his players. If anyone suggests differently, they just dont pay enough attention.

I watch every single press conference Rex has done on the website and there has been a couple of times he's mentioned over the last several years that it's almost come to blows with a player(s) of his. He's intimated it twice that I can recall.

Rex trashes his players plenty on the inside but very rarely through the media.
