The Waffle House sex scandal came to light on Nov. 13, 2012 when CEO Joe W. Rogers, Jr. said in a statement that a former employee and single mother with whom he had consensual sex multiple times is attempting to blackmail him.
According to the CEO involved in the Waffle House sex scandal, he and the woman had a handful of sexual encounters during the time she was employed as his housekeeper working 12 hours per week from 2003 through June 2012. "Over an almost eight-year period when I was separated, single and re-married, I had a series of infrequent consensual sexual encounters with my housekeeper," Rogers said. He acknowledges that his actions were stupid, but he denies any wrongdoing, reported Times Dispatch.
