Plax signs with Steelers

Filed to ESPN: Free-agent WR Plaxico Burress is expected to go to Pittsburgh to meet with and take a physical for the Steelers. Need WR help

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Steelers WR Antonio Brown already was nursing a sprained ankle and WR Jerricho Cotchery was injured during Sunday night vs. Baltimore.

Interesting move. After his play last year, he still has some in the tank. I'm glad the Jets never gave him a look after last year. He's a locker room cancer like Santonio.

A rapist and gun-wielding psycho on one team?

Well, it briefly used to work.

Oh wow, they deserve Plax.

Happy for Plax! There's no reason for his unemployment this far.

best red zone target available on the market.

Think the Jets could still use Plax but hey what do the Steelers know? They're only the best managed franchise in the NFL.

Pittsburgh Steelers plan to sign Plaxico Burress

The Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly are planning to sign free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress, according to a source with knowledge of the contract situation.

The injury-riddled Steelers are in need of a receiver with Antonio Brown out with a high-ankle sprain and Jerricho Cotchery banged up after a hard hit in Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Burress was a Pittsburgh first-round draft pick in 2000 and left as a free agent in 2004.

Seriously dude?

It only took them losing two of their WR's in week 10 to finally sign this bum.

Plax will do nothing to help them.

Do you honestly think as fragile as our locker room is, that Plax would benefit the Jets?

I dont understand how that would be possible.

Our WR's are awesome. Wasn't Tebow supposed to fix the lockerroom with his positive influence and Jesus skills?
