Jets Tweets 12/4: "Abstrakt goes ham" Edition

Conor Orr ‏@ConorTOrr
RT @OfficialBraylon: Don't blame Sanchez. I played there. Blame the idiots calling shots. Mark is a beast + will prove it when given chance.

Have fun, Ab. McDawg out.

Not a tweet and not even from Today, but I thought this interview with G-MAC on newyorkjets.com was nice.

Not Jets related, but...

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Terrell Suggs has torn biceps. Doctors say there are some torn biceps players can play through, others they can't. Thus, 2nd opinion needed.

Well, there goes any chance of Braylon ever returning to the NYJ like a lot of you have been screaming for (with this regime anyway). ;)

Myers: Quarterback situation between Greg McElroy, Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow may end up costing Rex Ryan his job

SUDDENLY, A TWIST!

Manish Mehta ‏@MMehtaNYDN
I'm told owner Woody Johnson prefers Greg McElroy to be starting QB. GM Mike Tannenbaum & OC Tony Sparano prefer Mark Sanchez this week #nyj

The two who shouldn't be here next year want Sanchez. One who will be wants Mac.

Rex....this is a pretty easy decision here.

I can't stomach this guy. Shots of him on the sidelines always gets me in trouble with my bride, as I, invariably, launch into an expletive-filled diatribe.

I never got this hire from day one. Second only to the Kotex hiring. Just flat out dumb with no understanding of his limited capabilities.
Rex should be fired just for the Sparano as OC debacle.

Tony is, imo, a complete potato. Guy reminds me of Schotty with his stupid 3 yard out-rt's on 3rd and long.

Of course they do. If Sanchez doesnt play another snap, Tanny is fired. If tanny is fired, Rex is getting canned. And if rex is canned, then Sparano is canned.

So Tanny, Rex and Sparano need Sanchez to succeed these last 4 games to save their jobs. Therefore, Sanchez will start Sunday.

Why the hell should an accountant get any say in who the starting QB is, FFS?!? Rex, show some balls and make your own call...as long as it's not to stick with Sanchez, of course.

C Mart 12-04-2012 09:55 AM

@BobGlauber: The NFL is a passing league, but it's an interception league, too. So far, 52 INT return TDs thru 13 weeks, most ever at this pt in season.

The Ducasse/Slauson rotation at LG has shown us that the coaches don't have total control over who plays and who doesn't. Remember, that order came from "way above." Which would indicate that it was the front office, not Rex.

If Tannenbaum digs his feet in, Sanchez will start unless Woody overrules him. JWN has already explained to you why Tannenbaum would be strongly in favor of going back to Sanchez.
