Just a thought ....

We all know that Pettine did not sign a long term deal. Is it possible that he knows Rex will not be back, and being so loyal to Ryan decided not to sign on ?

No... maybe he thought it was a bad offer... Maybe he wants to wait and see if he gets a real DC position.. One where he is the DC not assistant DC to Rex.. Maybe he figures since Jets O stinks so bad doesnt matter how well D does.. He can go to a bad team and call his own shots on D. I dont blame him..
