Anybody watched that Amish Mafia TV show?
Yeah, I'm ashamed to admit it. They can make anything into a TV show, but this one by its very name enticed me to watch one episode. Amish Mafia. LOLOLOLOL! It doesn't intend to be funny, but LOLOLOL! I got my brother in the room and we watched 3 episodes straight and couldn't stop laughing.
I mean funny in a lame/stupid kind of way, not in a Shaun-of-the-Dead, Zoolander or Tropic-Thunder kind of way. Kind of in a Weird Al Amish Paradise kind of way. Haven't seen any butter getting churned yet. If you REALLY wanna laugh, you need to watch Impractical Jokers on TruTV. Currently my favorite show. But please ..... watch at least one Amish Mafia episode and report back to me. You guys will love Esther, and that Mennonite dude has some pretty rad tattoos. |
I watched like 10 mins of it and shut it off. It's so fake.
To use the word mafia to describe that show is an insult. |
I'm surprised the Wops aren't all up in arms over this. They're giving the mafia a bad rap (if that's possible). :D
|
Doesn't the head of the mafia there do roofs on the side? lol
No respectable Don would ever do manual labor or have a real job for that manner. What a joke. |
I saw commercials for it at the gym... It seems Fake to me as well.
|
I never did figure out which one is Dwight's cousin.
|
I tried watching it
For about 10 minutes but found it incomprehensible. The level of this stuff is like when kids write, direct and act in their own play. Is there and THERE there? If so, I couldn't detect any. . . |

Seriously fake show - I kept thinking "Children of the Corn" - Mordechai. What gave it away, Sooth? Was it the way Amish Esther uses the word "like" every time she talks? And the "Don" who's also a roofer - unbelievable. I take it you didn't watch long enough to see that Mennonite dude shoot out a windshield with an automatic rifle, or the midget Amish dude from a rival "mafia" jump on the hood of Lebanon Levi's car to smash out the windshield with a sledgehammer? That little guy was quick. The gambling at the buggy races was LOL too - especially the "Amish" guys with the do-rags. Jetworks, Impractical Jokers is my jam! I've started "nosing" my fam but I'll never be as good as Joe. Every single episode rocks! My status used to say "Grapes are my Jam" (a la Sal) and "Don't call me clown, Mustache" (a la Quinn). Nobody ever noticed (sniffle) so I thought I was their only fan (LOL - like maybe NYers have a more sophisticated sense of humor than I do). Glad to find another fan. |
