Ravens Bigger Dynasty Than The Patriots?

Since 2000, Ravens are 2-0 in Super Bowls, 9 playoff appearances, 14-7 record.

Since 2000, Patriots are 3-2 in Super Bowls, 10 playoff appearances, 17-7 record.

Patriots Super Bowl differential is +1. Ravens Super Bowl differential is +2.

I'm half serious here.

It should also be noted that the Patriots play in a division with no serious competition whereas the Ravens play in a division with another team that has itself gone to 3 Super Bowls since 2000.

There is no cakewalk to 13 wins in the AFC North.

It should be noted that this is a very dumb question. The answer is NO

Go home, SAR. You're drunk.

If u wanna call 2 superbowls and numerous playoff appearances in 13 years a dynasty then maybe it is. As long as it upsets the Patriots I'm all for it.

Why? What's the harder challenge:

Patriots: Since 2000, cruising to AFC East titles with no serious competition, a Hall of Fame quarterback every year, and a Hall of Fame head coach every year. 3-2 Super Bowl record.

Ravens: Since 2000, battling the 3-time Super Bowl participant Pittsburgh Steelers to bloody 10 win AFC North titles/wildcards, with no consistent quarterback, with different head coaches. 2-0 Super Bowl record.

Well, maybe the Patriots aren't a dynasty. Maybe that's the wrong word in the subject line, "dynasty".

Maybe it should say "since 2000, who's the better team?" instead.

The Patriots are an AFC East dynasty. Perhaps the Ravens are the better AFC team.

Finally,I agree with SAR wholeheartedly

BIGKIDD325 02-03-2013 11:13 PM

Dynasties don't last that long. That was a completely different team.

iahawkeyejet 02-03-2013 11:13 PM

Ravens are a better franchise over that span.

That was back around 4PM when I drank two of those mini Coors Light bottles. I'm straight-sober now.

Patsies are 0-2 in Superbowls after spygate. NO Dynasty there.

The numbers say otherwise. In fact, the Ravens have more credibility because they didn't cheat.

The Ravens Success

Their ability to continually draft strong every year:
Look at the players this team has drafted since they started in the league:
2012
Courtney Upshaw
Kelechi Osemele
Bernarnd Pierce
2011
Jimmy Smith
Torrey Smith
2010
Sergio Kindle
Terrence Cody
Dennis Pitta
Arthur Jones
2009
Michael Oher
Paul Kruger
Lardarius Webb
2008
Joe Flacco
Ray Rice
2007
Ben Grubbs
Antwan Barnes
2006
Haloti Ngata
David Pittman
Dawan Landry
2005
Mark Clayton
Dan Cody
2003
Terrell Suggs
Musa Smith
Jarret Johnson
Tony Pashos
2002
Ed Reed
Anthony Weaver
Chester Taylor
2001
Todd Heap
Gary Baxter
Edgerton Hartwell
2000
Jamal Lewis
Travis Taylor
Adalius Thomas

Not to mention guys like Ray Lewis, Chris McAllister, Peter Boulware, Duane Starks, Jonathon Ogden, Jamie Sharper, Brandon Stokley.

When you can pick up (in many of their drafts) three starters every year, and then not to mention role players many of times, you are going to win in this league.

Great job by that franchise.

Chupa 02-03-2013 11:24 PM

Lol the jets drafts have been equal or better in the last half decade. They got hot at the right time. There isn't a secret formula.
