F-ing Potholes
 

Just blew out my second front tire this winter on a f-ing pothole. The roads on LI are a disgrace. To make things worse there is not one replacement tire I need on the Eastern Seaboard. I have to order a tire and pay $30. shipping to get one from Louisiana and it won't be here till next Weds!!!

Anyone have a spare Continental Conti-DWS 224-40ZR-18 laying around?

Interestingly..when I go back to visit, its what I notice the most.

The roads are in $hitty condition and their is litter everywhere.

the entire sunrise highway corridor is simply filthy and and in disrepair.

pothole season is early this year...I guess the groundhog was right.

Long Island has really gone down the toilet over the past decade.

Where does all the tax money go?

Where's Al D'Amato when you need him, right Sean?

My daughter had front end damage from hitting a huge pot hole a few years ago. She came home crying etc; however, she followed it up with a few telephone calls to local govt. I told her it was useless. Anyway she receive a check for $1200 in the mail about 3 weeks later. She sent them the bills etc along with pics. Sometimes you try and win. I would have given up myself.

Along with the usual left lane holes on the Belt, the S.I. Expressway has been particularly brutal this winter.

Those Conti DWS's are notorious for blowing out on impact. They have very soft sidewalls. I have a place right over the bridge in Fort Lee, if you feel like trucking out here. I can have one for you Monday morning.

This year, the highways have been dealt quite a shlthand.

School districts, water districts, fire districts, etc. etc. etc. .... districts up the wazoo with complete duplication of services.
