Revis off the market per PFT

Maybe to drive compensation up

Dimitri_0515 03-14-2013 11:16 AM

Think this is a smart move. You have well over a month till the draft. You're gonna get another good offer on the table. No need to rush.

Million dollar bonus or not, it will be worth it in the long run.

The "P" and the "O" are next to each other on the keyboard.

He meant "PFT".

Finally. That would be the sign of a good Front office.

Weeks after it was first reported that the Jets would like to trade Revis, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports that the Jets are not “actively shopping” Revis, and that they aren’t “committed” to trading him.

Who/what is OFT?

Jets listening, but not actively shopping Revis: source

At this point I wouldn't be shocked to hear that the Jets trade Revis or that they sign him to a ~13 million dollar deal. I don't think the jets will settle for a 2nd round pick (assuming that is all that is out there) for a guy like Revis.

What I do know is that any rumors that come out of Jet camp at this point are leaked intentionally.

SouthTown 03-14-2013 11:23 AM

no news here.

negotiating tactic.

morons.

Untouchable 03-14-2013 11:27 AM

Good

I'm loving Idzik so far.

I'm all for trading Revis but there's no damn way that you just give him away for pennies on the dollar.

I think "morons" was aimed at us.

Joe W. Namath 03-14-2013 11:30 AM

Translation - he is 100% on the market and we are open for business.

Vinny Testaverde's Niece 03-14-2013 11:32 AM

Damn that Idzik for not jumping at the first conditional 4th round 2014 offer!

BrowningNagle 03-14-2013 11:33 AM

Pretty sure this is what Minny leaked just before they heisted Seattle.....this is a good sign. Just upped the ante.

It also helps when the market for CBs is getting lower. Revis' people see the market right now, they know 16 million is a f****g pipe dream, NO ONE is paying a CB that money. So as the price comes down, the Jets interest in keeping Revis goes up.

rmeyer52 03-14-2013 11:33 AM

The Bucs have the numver 13 pick in the first round and did not want to give it up for Revis
