Need advice. Again!

Here's the deal: my girlfriend comes to me at the beginning of September and tells me that her cousin, that just graduated from college, needs a place to stay for her apprenticeship that she secured in pittsburgh. She needs a place for 2 months. She is from the same hometown about 90 mins away from here. I, being the nice guy that I am, said yeah no problem. It's only gonna be a few months. Well a few months has turned in to almost 7 months with no end in site. She also has a male dog that marks all over the freakin place. I can't $hit at my normal time in the morning nor can I get "any" during the week(she goes home on the weekends). It's driving me insane. Do I say enough is enough or take it like I have been?

Have you asked your GF yet "When is your cousin moving out? It was 'sposed to be at Christmas time."

Her response will probably give you your answer.

1) Have you said anything to your GF? Is she getting tired of it as well?

2) Yeeaaah. Dog pissing in your house? That right there is enough for you to bring the subject up. Not cool.

3) Why can't you get "any"? Is she sleeping in the same room?

It's a daily occurrence at this point. My GF doesn't want to cause problems with their families. Our weekends are spent trying to figure out how to get her either out or a job somewhere else.

1) yes and yes she is pissed too. Won't say anything.
2) Stanley steamer carpet cleaner on speed dial
3) I have a less than silent GF in bed.

There's your answer. This cousin has become too comfortable at your place. You need to make it uncomfortable. So have at it every week night. That oughta be enough to make her go.

That is not bad advice..... I can't believe I haven't thought of that. Do things that make her want to leave/uncomfortable. I'm such a dumba$$ sometimes.

Thanks brother

Anytime!

And I forgot - This thread is useless without pics.

She'd better be hot.

Walk around nakit...drinking beer.. with a trucker hat...

Then yell "who wants to get laid" while scratching your nuts. One of two things will happen, neither bad lol

1) F*ck it. Be loud.

2) A well placed hand over the mouth not only solves the noise issue, but can bring a little something extra to nocturnal activities.

3) Should be hard for her to be loud with something in her mouth. Bazinga.

:D

Exactly! Whose damn apartment is it? She's trained you both very well. Stays forever, has a-hole dog that pisses inside, causes you to not be able to have sex...and you're both patiently brainstorming for ideas to get her out on the weekends?

Jebus, grow a pair and tell your girl that cuz needs to go - now!

chirorob 03-14-2013 01:48 PM

Have a great week with the GF. Even if the cousin is there, you won't care.

Tell the cousin that you can't keep paying to clean up after the dog, tell her she'll have to pay for it. Turn the heat way up/down. Make the appt uncomfortable for her. Watch movies on the couch so she can't watch TV. Play music louder/later than normal.

Basically, make it an uncomfortable place for her to live. Right now she has free rent, so make it free rent for a crappy apartment. Turn it into a game with the GF.

Ask the cousin if she can pick up groceries on the way home, then don't pay her for them.

You need to just tell her its time to find your own place. I had the same issue. My wife didnt want to cause problems with her familly so it went on for 9 months. My wife didnt want me to say anything but I finally did and she was relieved that it was over....I basically told her its time to GET OUT!!

Anyone with any kind of mileage in this place can maybe recount my tale of woe from my sister in law staying with us.

Was supposed to be a 2-3 month gig, then she got laid off.

Turned into 3 years.

3 years.

I basically had to have a 2nd child in order to get her to move because we needed the bedroom.

Do you tell the 2nd child this factoid when she mis-behaves? :D

Anytime I think I am having a bad day, I can think of your life and say, "nope, things are pretty good!"
