Preferred Victor Butler, but I'll take Barnes. Still need at least two more OLBs, though.

Nice, one more glaring hole at least partially filled. Interested in the $ and term.

Hopefully he's healthy and motivated.

Seems like another low cost option that won't preclude the Jets from going OLB in the draft if the situation dictates.

Still will be rooting for Ansah or Dion Jordan to drop. Mingo has star upside, just not as sure about him. Jarvis Jones wouldn't be bad but he doesn't have that elite 16 sack potential.

If he starts the Jets are in serious difficulty. The real starter is in the draft.

He has more sack potential than any of those guys and he is a safer pick as well.

My thoughts exactly. Signing Butler seems like it's still a possibility, have to wait and see what Barnes signed for tho.

Basically, if we were to get Barnes and Butler for about $2.5 mill each, we'd have younger faster and cheaper OLBs on our team, meaning a huge upgrade to our cap and our D. Supplement that with Jones/Jordan at #9 and we go from being weak to having a very sturdy base at OLB.

don't know much about him. is there an adequate comparison to put it into pespective?

If the Jets get the 2011 version of this guy, fans will be pleased. Nice to see Idzik close here, as there were at least 6 suitors for this guy.

Not trying to turn this into a draft discussion, but I think Jones has the most "sack potential" out of any of these guys day 1 if he's healthy. The others could develop into nice OLBs but Jones is basically ready to beast out as long as his spine stays together.

Lets not forget Garret Mcintyre the guy came on strong in place pf Bryan Thomas last year

Nice player, certainly has the speed the team lacked last year at the position.
