Hopefully we get lucky and find another young Chrebet out of nowhere...
I posted about Zach Rogers as soon as the Jets signed him.
Mike Mayock had him pegged as one of his top sleeper prospects, so, it's not that surprising that he is flashing early on.
Lets see if he is still on the roster when week 1 rolls around.
I don't see the similarities between Rogers and Welker. Rogers doesn't have the kind of shiftiness or quickness that Welker has. Also the highlight reel doesn't show him being utilized the way the Patsies utilize Welker.
Rogers appears to be a player that the Jets can definitely use, but not in the same manner as Welker.
Zach is a total beast against Jade Clowney and the Gamecocks:
Lets not a polish a turd into a diamond you guys. Zach is not as talented or special as Patterson, Hunter or D. Rogers. Don't feed me this - wow what a steal! If he was such a god damn steal, he'd have played ahead of the other guys.
He's a smart pick up that MIGHT become a depth chart guy. Jordan White was supposed to be that guy too last year.
Would love to see him as our #4 wr this year
Anybody have stats on how often MM has gone 4 wide in the past?
With no one proven at TE it would be more likely to just have 4 WR's out than to try and motion a TE from alongside the OT out to the slot I'd think
Great video as well ... Many thanks!
That's why the Jets ended up with him.
He comes in with a great chance, smart, played in a pro offense, mature, and according to his coaches practices at 110%
Plus he plays faster than Jordan White.
This league is littered with WRs that weren't highly regarded in college playing roles as 3rd & 4th wideouts.
Yes he gets free and some great catches but in two videos I didn't see him break or dodge a single tackle. At 180 he could get creamed in the NFL without some elusiveness.
Looks like Welker but faster with deep route ability
And not ghey
This kid has alot to overcome. He's short, small, slow and off injured.
He is intriguing but it's the injury bug that worries me the most. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
