O.K.....now I'm really confused.
What " gov't manipulation " is that lowlife Flynt trying to protect her from ?.
Did the " gov't " have her take her top off and hang out with a couple of soldiers and be photographed so it could use the photos against her at a later date if it became necessary ?.
Was it a " gov't " set up ?, was it really not Jessica Lynch in the photos ?, did the " gov't " take some topless photos of somebody else and cleverly put Jessica's face on them ?.
Let's call this what it really is and leave the " gov't " out of it because I doubt they give a rats ass about some topless photos.
All this is about is some pretty $hitty people trying to profit off the topless photos and Flynt probably was one of them, he paid those scumbags the money and probably intended to put the photos in his magazine...but...then she spoke out against the administration so he had second thoughts and concocted this " I bought them to protect poor Jessica " B.S story.
Well, at least he did the right thing eventually but if she hadn't criticized the administration the lowlife scumbag wouldn't have cared one iota about " protecting her ".
