The league needs to do two things asap if they really want to improve:
1. Get rid of the rotten communist society that is MLS and allow individual owners to buy the teams. Put a salary cap in place if you are really worried about big stars only going to certain clubs.
2. Get more owners/managers like Alexi Lalas -- young, passionate guys who know a lot about soccer and truly want it to succeed in America.
In the future, they need better venues. Red Bull Park in Harrison, NJ should be very nice when it opens in 2009. This is a step in the right direction.
Right now, it's obvious the league is a joke. Even umpires in Double-A ball take their job seriously. That is inexcusable, in my opinion.
