I liked your post for the most part but this paragraph baffles me. The Mets and the Red Sox are the Yankees most hated rivals. Why would there be empathy? Really I am being serious. The Red Sox came within one run or one ounce of Grady little common sense of beathing the Yankees. They will get no empathy from me.
I was 16 in 1986...and my Met fan friends showed me nothing but grief.
