No.
The Govt. will never achieve Backruptcy when it has the power to A. Create Money and B. Tax the Populace.
What it will do, in my view, is terminate Social Security at some point due to insolvency of the program, leaving those who paid into it with either nothing, or some lesser reduced program that replaces it.
I have no faith, in any form, that I will ever see an equal return back from the Govt. to what I paid in over my lifetime. Do you?
A program can fail without the entire Govt. failing. Although I won't lie, I do believe there is a reasonable basis for belief/projection that the U.S. Govt. may not see the end of this century in it's current form.
But then again, I'm a pessimist.
