my thinking is that if the jets take a wr in round 1 or 2, the guy is expected to be more than just a slot wr/kr. a damien williams or tate, for example, would be considered a playmaker with the potential to replace a cotch, rather than a #3 with additional value on ST. if they took a wr in the 4th like shipley that would be great value for the pick.

of course if they took a guy like mccourty they get the kr as well as a cb and that has great appeal.
