I'd love to add Shipley.

I personally wouldn't mind taking the guy in the late 2nd, despite some saying that would be a reach.

He doesn't have blazing speed and his upside is limited, but he just screams perfect slot receiver at the next level.
+1, the Jets have to address a specific need at some point in this draft and that is SLOT receiver. We had the #1 rushing attack and our offense was still ranked 20th in overall offense, the switch from TJ to LT isn't going to bring that into the top 10. The passing game needs improvement. We already used draft picks to get an elite tall, deep threat in Braylon. We need a guy who is more quick than fast, runs crisp routes, gets YAC and has limited character issues. A true slot receiver will fit into our WR corps and will allow Chez to flourish even more, this upgrades your previous high investment (5th overall).

In the first round its almost a sure bet we are going defense, whether its on the line, OLB or safety. In the second round, I want the Jets (with a late round pick) to lock up Shipley and cross this need off the list for a long time. If hes on the board at 61, he should be a Jet. If you want a comparison, look at Austin Collie, basically the same height and weight as Shipley. As a rookie, Peyton aside, he stepped in and produced immediately (60 receptions, 7 TDs, 2 post-season TDs). Shipley won't have to battle anyone for playing time, he will step into training camp with a better skill set for the SLOT than anyone else on the roster. The prospect analysis above can give you the detailed breakdown of his skill-set, but this guy is an unbelievable athlete who will make this offense better. **Remember, Rex likes guys who can find it and get it....[Ball Skills 1 Ranks among the nation's best in this department. His focus is excellent. He really looks the ball in and makes the tough catches in traffic. He can pluck on the run and consistently catches the ball thrown over his head.]**

Beyond that, he's one of the best punt returners coming out of college and we have a NEED there too. Jimmy Bones is the man but the guy doesn't need to be back there returning kicks after a series on defense.

Was Shonn Greene a reach??
