This may be what the FO has in mind, and I think it would be a good move. It frees us up from having to rely on Braylon (a) "getting it" and (b) not wanting a huge contract. If we get a guy who plays the slot next year but has the ability to do more in 2011 and beyond, it gives us great flexibility.
Jet's haven't drafted a WR since Cotch, and even then he was only a 4th ... might be time to go high and get a true long term weapon. Alternatively - if we can get a guy who's as productive as Cotch in the 4th, maybe that's all we need? Given the penchant for ground & pound, this may be the more cost-effective approach.
