Cablevision separated MSG 5 mos ago and split 5 for 4, 4 old CV = 4 new CV + 1 MSG.
MSG lost money in 06 and 08 and made $3.4M operating income in the 1st 3 qtrs of 09. In the same period in '09 the rest of CV had 975.7M income.

From last week's NYDN:
The Garden's stock has jumped with every suggestion the NBA MVP might sign with the New York Knicks, according to Crain's New York Business.
Getting King James in a Knicks jersey when he becomes a free agent July 1 would mean higher ratings on the MSG cable channel and bolster crowds at the the famed arena, analysts say.
He'd bring an immediate $10 million to $20 million bounce in revenue, Patrick Rishe, a professor of economics at Webster University, told Crain's.
"The addition of LeBron would put [the MSG network] at a different level," says Rich Golden of HN Media & Marketing.
Playoff appearances could be worth $25 million to $50 million and propel the value of the Knicks franchise - which Forbes put at $586 million in December - up by $150 million, Rishe said.
Caution-that's a big if. MSG stock closed Friday at 20.03 down from its high of $22.95...(opened around $17.50 in Feb and traded as low as $16.35)...it's already affected by the delay
