I started in 1977, I think he was a year ahead of me. He was the 3rd or 4th string QB, a big physical specimen but I don't think he every understood the palybook
. I played for the Ice Hockey team and was friendly with a bunch of the football players--when their season was over they would play for us. Bill Hurley, the starting QB dislocated my thumb with a slap shot and once got me sick on skoal BEFORE a game.
I think Edsall actually lived in my dorm my freshman year.
