I don't think so. He' still a 1st rounder, but drafting him at #6 overall is QUITE the high expectation (see Gholston). Vernon is really good, but all those players listed ahead of him I think do produce more for their team than Davis does - he's more of a highlight reel player.

He's the 2nd best overall TE in the league behind Gates.....20 TD's the last 2 seasons, close to 2000 yards with horrible QB play
Alot of great players in the 06 draft, but Vernon Davis I'd put at 7 overall
