The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) is investigating reports that porn filmmakers used two fire trucks to shoot explicit scenes with an X-rated movie actress, a spokesman said Thursday.
Online reports included clips of an adult movie actress cavorting on one of the distinctive red trucks, showing fire officers nearby who allegedly knew in advance about the filming -- which would be against LAFD guidelines.
"It's currently under investigation," said LAFD spokesman Jaime Moore, adding that Fire Chief Brian Cummings "has asked that there be a thorough investigation to determine if there was any wrongdoing by any firefighters."
The Los Angeles Times newspaper reported that two fire stations -- in Venice Beach and Hollywood -- allowed fire trucks to be used in pornography film shoots.
The story was first reported by the NBC4 LA television station, which posted clips showing a scantily-clad actress exposing herself to passers-by on Venice Beach, and said firefighters helped to set up the shoot.
"Look at this fire truck," says porn actress Charley Chase, as she climbs on the engine. "Isn't that nice?" she adds, allowing herself to be fondled by passers-by.
The case is being investigated by the LAFD's Professional Standards Division, said the spokesman. LAFD policy states that employees must "operate apparatus in a way that does not compromise the reputation of the department."
Los Angeles -- more specifically the San Fernando Valley north of the city -- is the center of the lucrative US porn industry, which recently suspended filming due to the latest reported case of an actor testing HIV positive.
http://news.yahoo.com/probe-porn-shoot-using-la-fire-trucks-185244782.html
