I bought Ford stock at $1.73 because of Alan Mullaly. He was really sharp at Boeing, came with the right experience and skills, and I truly believed he could turn that company around. I also happened to be following their products pretty closely, and despite all the crap going down, they were making vehicles that were improving in quality and features.
Still holding the stock at $12, and fully believe it will go much higher, assuming the macro economic situation gets a bit better. If I didn't already have it, I'd buy it.
Bill Ford has some funny one-liners about Mullaly's retirement. He said Ford will really miss Mullaly when he retires at 85.
