The Jets have signed sixth-round pick Terrance Ganaway to a four-year deal, a person with knowledge of the deal confirmed. That person requested anonymity because the team has not yet announced it.
Ganaway, a running back from Baylor, was selected No. 202 overall in this year's NFL Draft. He set new single-season school records with 1,547 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns as a senior.He overcame obstacles to reach the NFL, including the death of his mother to kidney cancer and a year away from football at Tekarkana Community College.
Ganaway is the third Jets draft pick to sign, following second-round pick Stephen Hill and sixth-round pick Josh Bush. The New York Daily News first reported Ganaway had agreed to terms.The Jets have five more draft picks to sign, including first-round pick Quinton Coples.
