So by YOUR standard, not winning a championship is not only an epic failure, it's enough to give up on your team entirely.
But for the record, the epic failure of the Knicks is the fact that not only have they not demonstrated they are capable of competing for a champiopnship now, the way they are presently constructed, imo, they have provided no evidence that the next few years will be different. The Knicks are pot-committed and they are praying for a miracle straight draw.

Actually, I had an epiphany the day my daughter was born, January 15, the same day the Giants beat the Packers in a huge upset.
Rex, the Jets, media, and Jet fans had become intolerable after an 8-8 season (which wasn't that bad of a season). Everyone acted as if they went 1-15. It was simply hard to take.
I no longer wanted to be associated with the team or the fanbase. It was a personal decision I'm glad I made in light of the championship and the ridiculous Tebow trade.
The reason why I'm still here, besides being a Knicks, Rangers, and Yankee fan which we still discuss, is that I like you guys personally. You're a cool guy, Traitor, I just hate the Jets-fan-ness about you. It poisons so much of your opinion about the world. I didn't want the poison in me any longer.
As to the Knicks, they played pretty damn well when completely healthy. I'd like to see a full season with that healthy team before I make definitive statements of what they can and cannot do.
