Not to go GMC on you but a buddy of mine used to work for a very classy hotel in japan, and they’d opened a restaurant in the hotel with a top notch chef.
One night they wanted to celebrate so they ask the concierge for “something different”. He sends them to a Japanese restaurant telling them to ask for a particular dish. Everyone practically barfed except for the chef who found it interesting. It was only afterwards that they learned it was laced with squid sperm.
Concierge was almost fired :D
