[QUOTE=PaPZ187;4501084]Nice read.....thanks for the post.

I really like our 3rd round pick, and the more I read about him the more confident I am he will be a solid addition to an already talented defense.

Tannenbaum has done a good job IMO adding solid players with his mid round picks through the years....drafting guys like Leon Washington, Brad Smith, Eric Smith, Lowery, Coleman, Stuckey, Greene, McKnight, Connor, and Kerley with picks from the 3rd round up and I have a good feeling he has given this team another solid addition in Davis.

Well said. Don't forget about our starting LG in Matt Slauson, a 6th round pick. Can't forget about guys such as Mike DeVito and Robert Turner who both went undrafted, but picked up and signed by Tanny and the Jets. Both have developed into solid football players. Too bad we couldn't keep Turner around.

I really love everything about this Demario Davis selection. When switching from our base 3-4 defensive scheme, to a 4-3 defense, due to his overall speed and athletic ability, he has the ability/potential to become our 4-3 MLB due to his sideline to slineline capabilities. The development of Davis could become huge for the success of our defense this up coming season. By Davis being able to play alongside Harris, while spelling Scott at the same time? This could mean we're on the verge of seeing a well rested/fresh and healthy Bart Scott.

With young kids such as Davis, Maybin and Sapp... Suddenly, our linebackers core is full of young speed/potential in Davis, Maybin and Sapp along with proven veterans in Harris, Scott and Thomas. A great mixture when talking about a group of LB's.
