The problem I have with this "awakening" is that Mark Sanchez previously admitted that his footwork went awry last season resulting in bad play.
Why did Cavanaugh not identify those mistakes in-season and move to correct them then ... when it could affect change while the Jets still had a chance of making the play-offs ?
Why was Cavanaugh re-hired; Sanchez was clearly not responding to any remedial coaching, the Jets only managed to win three of the last eight games of the season ?
I understand footwork analysis is a nuanced thing that takes time and focus to correct but these explanations offered to Cimini seem all too convenient for last years p*ss poor qb play.
